The Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) is funded by New York State Department of Education, Bureau of Professional Career Opportunity Programs. This initiative provides services for students from under-represented populations or economically disadvantaged backgrounds seeking careers in the sciences, mathematics and technological fields or one of the licensed professions in New York State (Interior Design, Accounting, Law, Social Work, Psychology,etc). The mission of the CSTEP program is to foster academic c excellence, teach effective long-term career management skills and create meaningful pre-professional experiences for program participants. Students may join CSTEP at any time during their college career

LSAMP

Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation(LSAMP) is funded by the National Science Foundation, is a scholarship, academic support, and internship program designed for full time matriculated students from SUNY College at Old Westbury who are historically underrepresented* and who are pursuing a bachelor's degree in science, mathematics, engineering, or technology. There are no economic criteria for this program.
